DESCRIPTION

This session will assist participants to gain an understanding of the components of Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD while considering the implications for communication, social interactions, behaviour and provide strategies for support.

This workshop will:

– Provide an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

– Look at the areas of difficulty and provide strategies for management

– Provide strategies to support behavioural challenges

This Professional Learning workshop has been specifically designed to help Early Educators, Out of School and Vacation Care providers.

PRESENTER

Our program facilitator Gail Preston has over 30 years’ experience in special education as a classroom teacher, specialist teacher, principal, academic and educational consultant. Gail has spoken at local, national and international conferences on various topics within the special education and inclusive practice fields.
