Several factors contribute to self-regulation capabilities for each child, requiring different levels of support. Children have different temperaments and may become more easily overwhelmed by inputs. How we as educators react to and provide support and guidance to young children in these early years plays a critical role in the development of self-regulation skills.

Our program facilitator Gail Preston has over 30 years’ experience in special education as a classroom teacher, specialist teacher, principal, academic and educational consultant. Gail has spoken at local, national and international conferences on various topics within the special education and inclusive practice fields.
