Neurodiversity acknowledges that there is variation in how individual’s brains function. Each of us is unique in how we perceive and respond to the world. Students with ADHD can present with challenges of inattention, impulsivity, hyperactivity or all three components. As educators we need to be aware of the neurodiversity presentation of those with ADHD.

This webinar will:

– Review the indicators and DSM 5 criteria for ADHD

– Identify associated behavioural indicators

– Identify the challenges of Executive Function

– Offer strategies for a strengths-based approach

Our program facilitator Gail Preston has over 30 years’ experience in special education as a classroom teacher, specialist teacher, principal, academic and educational consultant. Gail has spoken at local, national and international conferences on various topics within the special education and inclusive practice fields.
